Sri Lanka joined with the Indian Farmers protest

Picketing campaign organized by the Frontline Socialist Party and the Peasants Struggle Centre carried out in front of the Indian High Commission, Colombo today. Thousands of peasants are demonstrating surrounding New Delhi against several Acts which allows multinational companies specially Adani Group to grab the lands belong to farmers, presented to the Indian parliament. Peasants started demonstrations against these acts since last November and about 50 farmers died in these protests so far. They demand withdrawal of those acts.

Rajapkasha Government of Sri Lanka also in a fight with Colombo port workers and general public to sell its Eastern Container Terminal to Adani Group of India. Workers demand full control of the terminal to Sri Lanka Port Authority without selling it to private sector. United Socialist Party, Left Voice Organization and Ceylon Teachers Union also joined this demonstration.
